Germany - Belarus

Germany are in Group C quite well on the way to qualifying for the 2020 European Championship. With 20:6 goals and 15 points, they are tied for second place behind the Dutch and do not lead the table due to the direct comparison with the Dutch neighbors who will play away game against Northgern Ireland. However, one should not be too relaxed about the match against Belarus, as the Northern Irishmen are in third place with twelve points and are still hoping for a slip-up in Germany or the Netherlands in order to get on the direct qualification for the European Championship.

The Germans have improved after the 2018 World Cup with new team and more younger generation. Although Main topic remains the missing nomination of Mats Hummels after the injury from Niklas Sule. However, Jogi Löw has other plans, so central defense is likely to be Matthias Ginter and Jonathan Tah. Kevin Volland is also expected on offense, but the attack with Marco Reus, Serge Gnabry and Marco Reus or also Julian Brandt is superbly occupied, so that probably nobody has to worry about goals against Belarus.

Belarus isnt on the road to qualify for the European Championship 2020. After seven games with just 4 points, and thus one more game than the Germany, the team of the coach Mikhail Markhel is with four points and 4:12 gates in fourth place and thus the non counted place of the group. In the previous games against Germany, the Netherlands and Northern Ireland conceded all defeats and could score only against Estonia with a win and a draw. Belarus squad does not really stand for quality and unlike other nations like Armenia or Albania, which have 1-2 players known throughout Europe in their squad, they do not have a real "star" standing out in the team. The most interesting player may still be the Belarus defender and captain, Aleksandr Martynovich, who is under contract to the Russian club FK Krasnodar. Luca Waldschmidt will be another problem for Belarus back four because he will be more serious for goals.
