MelBet review

MelBet is an emerging bookmaker owned by Tutkia Ltd, registered in Nicosia, Cyprus. The company is operated by Pelican Entertainment Ltd, licensed by the government of Curacao.

MelBet website review

The website looks quite good, with a nice combination of colors and well segmented categories, which makes it pretty easy to navigate despite the fact that it`s rather complex.

There are IOS and Android apps available for mobile, but you should be able to use the website pretty comfortably on any device even without installing those applications.

Welcome bonus and promotions

MelBet welcomes you with a 100% first deposit bonus up to 100 Eur. You need to wager the bonus amount 5 times on accumulator bets with three events or more before withdrawing. At least 3 events in the acca have to have odds of 1.40 or higher.

Alternatively, you can choose to receive a 300% bonus which gives you 30 Eur (of which 10 can only be used on the Android or IOS app) when you deposit at least 10 Eur and place your first 10 Eur bet, with odds of at least 1.50. The rollover terms for the freebet are the same as for the above mentioned welcome bonus, but you can only choose one of these offers. Best to contact MelBet after you open an account, to make your choice clear. Maybe even before depositing, to make sure they credit the bonus of choice.

Besides the welcome bonuses, there are plenty other promotions like cashback if one of your bet loses in a 7+ accumulator combo (odds at least 1.70 for each selection), free bets on your birthday, 10% boost on selected accumulators, loyalty bonuses or a loyalty program.

All these promos are available with extra information on their “Bonuses” tab on the main page of the website.

Betting coverage (pre match & live) and odds

Around 40 sports are available to bet on at MelBet, with over 1000 events at hand on a daily basis, of which around 200 are also available live. The live platform has a very wide range of events and betting types to choose from, and also to live stream. MelBet’s excellent live betting service is a big plus for this Sportsbook.

The betting coverage is really impressive with so many sports and betting types attached, including all sorts of asian handicaps. For example a football Premier League match has almost 2000 betting options available. Even a game from the second league of Italy`s Women basketball has moneyline, totals, and a couple of other options as well to bet on.

Odds are usually around the average of the industry, just slightly above, with handicap margins usually being around 1.89 – 1.89. A grade around 7,5 would seem fair for their odds.

Limits, banking, customer support

We have asked MelBet about their limits, and their answer was just “depends on the event”, so that is not great news. You may be limited on lower level competitions if you are a winner, although this is just a speculation.

There are 40+ deposit and withdrawal methods, including Credit/Debit Card, Bank Account, Neteller, and so on. Half of these banking options are cryptocurrencies. But there is no Skrill, which surely is a huge downer for many, me included. That`s too bad, because I was going to give them a grade of 9 or 10 in this department. If you don`t care about Skrill, you can add 1 or 2 points on my “banking” grade on the top right of this page.

MelBet prides itself for having signed a ring-fenced fund worth a million US dollars with a Swiss bank (an operation which separates a part of a company`s funds to be used only for a specific purpose) in order to make sure that they will not run out of money to pay users, and guarantee that payments will always be made. It`s impossible to verify, but if true, that would be a great move.

In my personal dealings with them, payments have been very fast. Almost instant approval, I was quite pleasantly surprised.

Customer support options are abundant, with multiple e-mail addresses, live chat and phone. Im my experience with MelBet I found answer times to be a bit irregular and on the slow side, but always in a 48 hour window, and usually in 24 hours. Answers have been helpful, aside from the live chat, which I didn`t find to be of much use – just generic answers.

MelBet Bookmaker review summary

MelBet has clear strong points when it comes to their betting coverage, live betting offer, and bonuses. Odds are slightly above average. There are questions about their limits.

Overall it`s a bookmaker worth trying out (otherwise we would not promote them). Maybe start slower to build trust with them, take advantage of their bonuses, and see where you go from there. Betdistrict rates them between 3.5 and 4 stars. Closer to 4, so that`s what we`ll give them.
