SLBet review

Slbet websiteSlBet is a relatively young, but at the same time already established bookmaker, taking life back in 2009 and currently operating from Austria. The company is licensed and regulated by the government of Curacao, using all the latest SSL encryption technologies to protect personal user data.

Website and welcome bonus

As far as website design and usability are concerned, I have to say I`m not impressed. SLBet delivers a full page layout, crowded and with small fonts, while the individual page for events looks rather simplistic and outdated (but easy to use). It`s not as much of a disaster as it may sound – you can still browse the website pretty comfortably and it shouldn`t affect your betting experience. It`s also very fast. Maybe you will actually like it, as this is mostly about taste – but in this day and age, SLBet should do better and I wouldn’t be surprised if a layout change will follow soon.

Update September 2017: As predicted in the above pargraph, the layout has been changed. Slbet`s new website is a clear improvement. Although personally I`m still not impressed, it`s much more clean and fresh, with good structure and large fonts, good for beginners as well. Our Slbet website rankings on the top right have been updated as well.

SLBet welcomes its users with a good old fashioned welcome bonus – doubling your first deposit up to 100 Eur. All users can claim the same bonus, no matter what country they are in (except, of course, if you reside in one of the 4 restricted countries). This is clearly a huge plus and a very rare thing in today’s industry.

You have to wager your first deposit once on odds over 1.50 to receive the bonus. The downside is that, after you claim your freebet, you need to roll it over 5 times on accumulators of at least three events with odds over 1.50 EACH. Also, if you use your bonus amount on any other kind of bet, you lose the right to withdraw it. No fair.

Odds and betting offer, betting limits

SLBet has good, above average odds, especially when it comes to the more popular events. You really can`t complain about the prices they offer and a good sign is the fact that they raised the payout % in the last years – which could suggest odds will continue to get better.

Football betting coverage is absolutely fantastic, SLBet’s betting offer is right up there with the best in the industry. You can bet on pretty much any football event you can think of, from youth leagues to the Vietnam’s women division. Not only that, but there are a lot of betting options associated with those events as well, including a ton of handicaps and asian handicaps. Other sports also get great coverage, personally I was happy to see that I have a lot of rugby on offer, even from second divisions.

According to my communication with SLBet they have no problems accepting bets up to 10.000 Eur on the big leagues and events, with the limit being obviously a bit lower for less popular competitions. That`s pretty solid for a bookmaker which also has good odds.

Live betting, mobile betting

I should probably stop doing the mobile betting topic in my reviews, because there`s simply not much to say. In this day and age every bookmaker has an excellent mobile interface and they are more or less similar. SLBet makes no exception, offering a fast and reliable product on your phone or tablet.

Actually, the same could be said about live betting. All serious bookmakers have an excellent live betting coverage, the difference is that some of them are elite, while others are ‘just’ great. I would not say SLBet are elite, particularly as they do not have live streaming, which is arguably the biggest difference maker. But, all in all, they are solid, offering a lot of events and betting types on a responsive platform. I doubt anyone will be disappointed with their services in this department.

Customer support, banking

Customer support at SLBet is fair and solid – like most things seem to be with this bookie. They have 24/7 e-mail support (dully tested by me on a Saturday night) and competent people to solve problems. The FAQ section is well structured and helpful. On the other hand, there`s no other way to contact them.

SLBet offers the basic payment methods, which are Bank Wire Transfer, Credit card (Visa, Mastercard), Netteller, Pay Safe Card, AstroPay and Skrill. Decent, probably no more than you need.

Update January 2021: Crypto now accepted (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, Lite Coin and mStable).

SLBet bookmaker review summary

Personally I like SLBet and from what I read and asked around, most punters are very happy with this bookmaker. It`s a serious, honest Sportsbook which is competent in pretty much all categories. Tey are very solid in the categories that truly matter like odds or betting coverage, while their very few shortcomings are not that important (for example the website design, or the bonus T&C’s). Definitely a pleasant surprise and well deserving of a 4 star rating. Depending on their financial power, I would not be surprised if they get very popular in the near future, because they seem to own all necessary qualities to become big.
