The Mavs (0-3, 0-2 home) are expected to tank tank this season, as they have no realistic chance to reach the playoffs with the current roster. However, they have been even worse than predicted so far, playing horrible basketball in the first three games. The Mavs are on the back of a 16 point loss in Houston, after previously losing at home to the Kings (by 5) and to the Hawks (by 6), neither of those teams being any good.
The Warriors (1-2, 1-1 away) haven`t been at their usual magnificent selves in this start of the season, and losing 2 games out of the first three has been a big surprise. Golden State began the year with a home loss to the Rockets, went on to beat the Pelicans away and then lost on Saturday by 10 points in Memphis. It wasn`t an expected loss, but it was somewhat understandable, as MEM is the worst matchup for the Warriors in the entire NBA – beating them twice last year as well.

The Mavs continue to struggle with injuries, as they will miss Seth Curry and McRoberts, while Smith Jr and Harris are questionable.
The Warriors are awaiting news about a possible suspension to Steph Curry after he was ejected late in the Memphis game, but chances are he will not be suspended.
The handicap is lower than it should be here, and it`s already going up. The possible suspension of Curry is the reason, and this is why only 10 or so reputable bookies have put up odds for this game. The rest are waiting for a final decision on the matter.
I find it very unlikely for Curry to be suspended considering the league didn`t take action so far. These matters are not settled hours before the game and I expect Steph to suit up, which will probably determine the handicap line to move somewhere around 14-15 points.
Realistically speaking the Warriors should have no problems against what is currently one of the worst 2-3 teams in the NBA. The Mavs are banged up, their defense is poor and they have no rim protection (Noel should give them some but he hasn`t so far), and that is the worst possible combination when you meet the Warriors.
Golden State will also be fully motivated to bounce back after losing 2 out of 3, and especially after that game in Memphis where they clearly felt they were robbed by the refs (and they were).
I suggest taking this bet as early as possible until the line starts moving even more. If Curry ends up being suspended, which I highly doubt, then I have made a mistake, but the Warriors could still well cover this spread even without him against a team as poor as this Mavs group. Last year in Dallas, the Warriors won by 25 points.
