A desperate Dinamo Bucharest side will host title hopefuls CSU Craiova in the 20th round of the Romanian Liga 1.
Dinamo is in complete shambles right now, as the team is having its worst ever season this year. The Red Dogs are 11th in the standings (out of 14) and won only a single game in the Liga 1 since August! Even that was a hard fought 1-0 victory via a 95th minute penalty against last placed Voluntari six rounds ago. Experienced manager Mircea Rednic has been brought to save the situation two months ago, but he was unable to do anything aside from firing a large number of players. The defense has improved a bit, but the offense has plummeted. Dinamo is coming after a draw against newly promoted Hermannstadt, after losing the previous two matches with a 1-7 goal difference.
CSU Craiova will enter the game in very good form, having won three games in a row. The good run got Craiova (currently on the third place) closer to league leaders CFR, with the difference being now only 5 points. The visitors are without a doubt one of the 3-4 best teams in Romania, and winning the league seems like a perfectly realistic possibility this season.

Dinamo is truly looking horrible. The performances of the team have been consistently horrible in the last 3-4 months and it looks highly unlikely for Dinamo to recover until the Winter Break.
There is clearly some kind of mental block with the players, and the new guys brought in recently by manager Rednic are playing despite not being physically fit, so that is a disastrous combination. To top it of, Rednic (who is some kind of manager-agent) has fired some first team regulars in the last weeks, including main keeper and one of the best players Penedo a few days ago. Dinamo will have to play with Mutiu here, who is a poor keeper which barely has the basic qualities needed for this position.
The Red Dogs have shown they are completely unable to win games and particularly to challenge the top teams in Liga 1. In the last three rounds, they lost 0-3 at home to league leaders CFR and 1-4 away against fourth placed Viitorul, being completely outplayed.
Craiova is a step above in quality to this Dinamo side, they are in good form and will come to Bucharest with good morale, while the atmosphere in Dinamo`s locker room is a disaster.
The hosts won a single Liga 1 game from the last 13 and that was an ultra lucky victory against the worst team in the division. They just can`t seem to do anything right in the last three – four months. It`s unlikely to say the least for Dinamo to break this run against one of the best and most in form teams in the league – especially with Nistor missing out. Even the draw seems like a difficult task for Dinamo if Craiova has another good game.
