Kohlschreiber was nowhere near his best level of tennis at the start of the year, but he stepped it up big time on clay. Kohli reached the final at Munich, losing to Murray in three sets and he took a set from Murray again in the 2nd round at Madrid. His last tournament was in Rome, retiring in the second round against Anderson to make sure he doesn’t get injured before Roland Garros. The German proved he`s in top shape right now with a blowout win over Soeda in the first round – not the toughest opponent, but he managed to win just three games against an unleashed Kohlschreiber.

The Head 2 Head is 2-0 for Kohlschreiber, who actually won all 5 sets played against Andujar. The meetings took place in 2013 (clay) and 2014 (hard). Kohlscreiber seems to hold an advantage in the matchup and Head 2 Head department, he had zero problems both times he met Andujar and looks to hold the Spaniard’s number.
Andujar is a solid claycourter and can play good tennis on his day. He is in ok form, but even so, he stands little chance against Kohlschreiber. The german is in excellent shape, he`s playing some of his best tennis and, maybe most importantly, he holds a matchup advantage over Pablo. It really looks unlikely for Andujar to get past that matchup disadvantage considering that Kohlschreiber is in better form than him.
