Herbert / Mahut against Murray / Soares. I see this match as the best one to bet on today, it is the first semifinal played at the US Open in the Men’s doubles tournament.
Herbert / Mahut are the best doubles team in the world right now and have a 35W-6L this season so far, playing fantastic tennis. They have won Indian Wells, Miami, Monte Carlo, Queen`s and Wimbledon so far in 2016.
Beside that, they are the trophy holders here in NY as they`ve won it in 2015 dropping just one set. This year they`ve dropped also just the one set and defeated some good teams: Duran / Estrella, Haase / Sitak, Chardy / Groth and Lindstedt / Quereshi.
Murray/Soares are also top 10 doubles players, but I reckon I don`t fancy them that much. Murray had some back problems yesterday against Guccione / Sa and they`ve managed to win this match because of Sa`s bad service game in the 3rd set. They have a decent record this season with 33W-12L and 2 tournaments won: Sydney and Australian Open.
Since Australia they have struggled to get into another final (managed to find the way in Toronto where they lost to Dodig/Melo). The H2H is 1-0 for the Frenchies and the only match was played this season in Monte Carlo on clay. They Frenchies won that clash 3-6 6-0 10-6.
After seeing both teams yesterday I think that the 1.57 bet on Herbert / Mahut is a really solid choice. Back the Frenchies to win. Hope to make it 3/3 since my return to Betdistrict.
