Rapid Bucharest will host Viitorul Constanta in Romania today, in what seems to be a very interesting game. Why interesting?
Well, let me tell you the story of Rapid. Rapid is a club from Bucharest, Romania’s capital. They promoted last year after being relegated for financial problems but now they really are close to relegating again. They have bad players, poor players for this level but a very good coach and very passionate fans. Their coach is Cristi Pustai, the man that played in the Europa League with Pandurii (probably never heard of them, small Romanian team) and also eliminated Mainz from EL preliminary round with Gaz Metan Medias (another unknown team for the mass public). So he really is a good coach. Rapid is a little better now than in the first part of the season, bringing in some players and played good football to beat Steaua 1-0 in the last round.

Viitorul Constanta is the team of ex-Steaua legend Gica Hagi. Unlike Pustai, Hagi is a terrible terrible coach. Absolutely no tactical idea whatsoever. But his players respect him, he is Hagi after all and he is the owner of the team at the same time. Viitorul has good players, especially in offense, they should be able to score but i doubt they can keep a clean sheet. To get a sense of how bad the Viitorul defense is, let me tell you that they lost 0-3 at home in front of Iasi, a team that had odds 5.00 for the win. Rapid scored against Steaua and had some other chances, so they should score today at home as well.
