Roma will hope that Juventus does not defeat Inter so they can get closet to the first place, but they have their own tough game against a very good Parma team.

Roma lost some steam after starting the season with 10 consecutive victories, but Juventus’ draw at Lazio gave the Giallorossi some hope – they are now 6 points behind their rivals. After getting the likes of Gervinho and Totti back from injuries Roma did very well and has 5 consecutive wins at the moment – 4 in Serie A, an conceded only 1 goal in the process (last round at Verona, 3-1). Roma has the best defense in Serie A (11 goals) but also a very potent attack with 45 goals scored in 21 matches. Nainggolan and Balzaretti will not play for Roma.

Parma has played very good all season but the results were mixed – now finally Parma is also getting the results besides the good football. The visiting team won 4 consecutive games in Serie A and did not lose in the last 8. They did lose in the cup against Lazio 2-1 two weeks ago. Last round Parma defeated Udinese 1-0. Parma played great offensive football this season, scoring 32 goals and conceding 27 in 21 rounds. Pavarini, Obi and Felipe are out for Parma.

Roma understood that they need to take more risks if they want to catch Juventus and win the title. Roma has scored 10 goals in the last 3 Serie A games and all went over 2,5. Now the hosts face a very offensive Parma team and they need to win the game so I reckon again they will push more in order to avoid the same 0-0 and 1-1 draws that lost them the first place in the standings. Parma had 4 consecutive over 2,5 goals before beating Udinese 1-0 last round. Parma is fantastic offensively and will most probably score a goal but if I`d bet on the 1×2 market I`d say Roma will win in the end, netting at least two themselves. Totti was rested against Verona playing less than 20 minutes so he should be fresh and able to create danger. Roma won 3-1 at Parma in the second round of the season in a very entertaining encounter. My tip is over 2,5 goals and my prediction would be AS Roma – Parma 2-1.
