Kings – Bucks

Sacramento Kings Milwaukee Bucks prediction

The Milwaukee Bucks will travel to Sacramento on Wednesday night / Thursday morning (European time), attempting to take care of the lowly Kings for what would be a very important win.

The Kings (27-43, 14-21 home) have become arguably the worst team in the NBA since they traded superstar center DeMarcus Cousins a few weeks ago. Sacramento lost 10 of their last 12 games, with the only two wins coming against poor teams like the Magic or the Suns. Last time out they lost by 16 points in San Antonio and are obviously tanking in order to get a high draft pick.

Milwaukee (35-35, 15-19 on the road) won 9 out of the last 11 games and will end a grueling 6 game road trip tonight, in which they only met Western Conference teams. The Bucks have been excellent throughout the trip, winning 3 out of 5 despite the fact that they met very good teams – with the exception of the Lakers. They beat the Trailblazers last night by 3 points in another very good performance, so Milwaukee is really playing some good basketball at the moment.

Milwaukee is back to back on the road and at the end of a long 6 game road trip in the Western Conference. This combination is usually a big no-no when it comes to betting on a team. However, I believe the Bucks have what it takes to get over it and make a final push on the road for another crucial win.

Milwaukee is a young team, so that will help them recover faster than other teams do and they meet a Sacramento team which is playing some of the worst basketball in the league right now and can`t win a game to save their lives.

What`s more, the game holds huge significance for Milwaukee in the race for the playoffs, especially as Detroit and Chicago, the two teams which are trying to snatch Milwaukee’s playoff spot, meet each other today. As such, victory for the Bucks would be huge in their attempt to finish Top 8 in the Eastern Conference.

The Milwaukee Bucks are playing some great basketball right, their 9 wins in the last 11 matches speak for themselves and in normal circumstances they should easily beat the Kings. The fact that they are back to back and at the end of a road trip is a problem – but I feel that their motivation, their confidence, their youth and Sacramento’s futility will be more than enough to make up for that.

The Bucks also seem to match up well against Sacramento. Their excellent defense should hold an erratic Sacramento offense in check, while the dreadful Kings defense will give the Bucks plenty of opportunities. That poor Kings defense forces them to score a ton of points if they are to stand a chance, but that does not seem likely against Milwaukee.

In the 3 wins since Cousins left, Sacramento needed an average of 115.7 points scored in order to win. Milwaukee has given up more than 110 only once in the last 15 games and that was against the Warriors. In their recent stretch of 9 wins in 11 games, they gave up an average of 96.8 points per game.

My tip is Milwaukee to win and cover the 5 point spread. Odds are going down on the bet. Prediction: Sacramento Kings – Milwaukee Bucks 95 – 109.

  1. Nice work Rostick you’re doing a great Job on B.Ball

    • Too bad I couldn`t find anything on today`s games. I really wanted to post another NBA bet, but I just don`t like the matchups.

  2. Rostic just post when you very sure, don’t need to force it. I put bigger money, I follow your bets, and I hate loosing haha 🙂

    • Yep, that`s the reason for the recent success 🙂 Unfortunately website traffic has to suffer, but I`m happy with the decision of posting less often.
