Verona – Atalanta

Verona Atalanta betting previewHellas Verona is 3 points above relegation in Serie A, while Atalanta is just 2 points above the line. I watched Hellas Verona on several occasions this season. They make a ridiculous amount of individual mistakes. Attackers dribble and lose the ball, midfielders give bad passes, defenders are just ridicolous (maybe except Rafa Marquez).

However, I think the players are not to blame, but the coach. Mandorlini changes the starting 11 every week, players do not understand exactly their tasks, and the team suffers. For this game Verona will go with an ultra-offensive line-up featuring Luca Toni, Saviola and Halfredsson (Iniesta-like player). Also he has Nico Lopez on the bench, great Uruguayan player, out of form currently.

Atalanta is another team in disarray. They play bad bad football, uninspired in attack despite having 2 very good argentinians (German Denis and Moralez). Their problem? You guessed it, their coach. Their coach is not the smartest of the lot and despite having the same players for a couple of years now he has not made them defend properly.

However, against poor teams Atalanta has managed to at least score. They seem to be in a good trend, scoring in their last 2 games against strong teams (1-0 win vs. AC Milan and 1-3 defeat vs. Fiorentina) so why should they not score vs Hellas Verona, the #4 worst defence in Italy?

Both to score is my prediction on this Serie A meeting, with excellent odds of 1.84 at Betsafe. By the way, the odds are going down on the pick. Good luck!

Pick: Both to score
Odds: 1.84 @ Betsafe
