Benito van de Pas will play James Wade in the First round of the play offs of the Grand Slam today, to me this seems like a pretty even match even odds suggest a win for the Machine. Looking at the recent results of both players we see that van de Pas is in great form winning 5 out of his last 6 matches and only lost against Phil Taylor earlier this month, these two played each other on November 5 with the Dutchman winning 6-5. James Wade’s stats don’t look as good as you would expect, his checkout percentage has dropped every match and he struggled to win time after time. He lost the last 3 out of 4 meetings with today’s opponent, I think today will be another close match but with the way van de Pas is playing right now this could easily go his way. My advice is take the underdog with a +3.5 leg advantage to at least win 7 legs in this best of 19 format, I would be surprised if Wade will win by a large margin the way he has been playing lately.
