Federer odds in region of 1.30 for the win, I think even this is too much. Federer has many motives to be clear favorite tonight ... maybe 1.20 favorite or even lower.
Federer play his best tennis at this tournament ... not lost a set and not even reached tiebreak. He had dangerous rivals like Wawrinka, Edmund or Hurkacz who was in the shape of his life. Nadal retired before the SF final match so Federer had the day off and he will be more rested.
Federer has 9 consecutive wins. He won Dubai before Indian Wells so his form is great not only this week. He has 16 wins in 17 matches this year.
You want to tell me Thiem can beat a maxed up Federer on hard surface? I don't believe it.
Thiem showed us great tennis in IW, wins vs Thompson, Simon, Karlovic and Raonic, only 1 lost set in SFs vs Raonic. Thiem was very well vs Raonic and made very few unforced errors ... looked great. It is surprising he looked so great in IW because hard surface is not his NO 1 surface.
But no way IMO Thiem beats Federer in this final with Federer playing well. I think maybe only Djokovic beats Federer when Federer plays like this. I feel secure betting 10/10 on Federer. No problem for me that odds are only 1.30.
I was thinking Federer 2-0 but because Thiem form I give Thiem some respect.
