I think Rennes can win this match or get at least a draw. They play for the semi final here against St Etienne and while they find their rivals in a very bad time Rennes comes in a solid run.
St Etienne has had quite a bad season as they are ranked at the 16th place in the league just two points above the relegation zone. After a couple of days they have a tough game in the league against Bordeaux and I think they are thinking about that game more than this Cup game. In the last five matches they come after a single win a draw and three loses where they failed to keep a clean sheet in any of them. Another problem will be missing players as Monnet-Paquet, Youssouf will not play here while Ruffier, Perrin, Nordin, Khazri and Hamouma are listed as doubtful.
Rennes on the other side is having a very good season as they are ranked third in the league aiming for a Champions League spot next season and also trying to reach the Cup final for the second year in a row. Last year they even managed to win the trophy. They come after three wins a draw and a loss in the last five matches and while playing away from home did pretty good this season being the 4th team with the best performance in the league. It just seems they have the edge here and with quality players like Niang, Raphinha and Camavinga I see another final getting closer for them.
