I have to say , this is the easiest way to a final for Roger Federer and it's crazy to say that because he's played so many grand slams and been in so many final, but this is clearly his easiest path to a grand slam final.
Federer played : Fucsovics #80 , Gasquet #31 , Struff #55 and Bedene #5 in the first 4 matches
Then he played Berdych in the quarter finals. Berdych , ranked 20 and coming off the worst year of his career , is the highest ranked Federer played in this tournament and he was really tested. However, Berdych, who should have won 1st set, choked and collapsed after that. In the semi finals , Federer played a injured Chung.
Cilic played a much tougher draw , he managed to beat 1st in the world Rafa Nadal then went on in semi finals and played a magnificent match against Kyle Edmund. Cilic was dominant start to finish and serving well.
In the 2014 US Open Semi final , Cilic shocked everybody by beating Federer 3-0 and went on to win his first grand slam. History to repeat itself here , Cilic to be the champion. @4.33 SUPERB odds !
