Taro Daniel did not have a good 2020 season , but ended it well with a Challenger Win on hard indoors. Here, in the 1st round, he was really sloppy in the 1st set but then his level stepped up and he won comfortably in the end. He only faced 4 bps in 3 sets and was really dominant in the return of service in the 2nd part of the match.
Today is a much tougher task as Marterer is a better opponent then Subervi, but Marterer turned in a really poor performance himself against Trungelitti who was playing ITF's couple weeks ago and who is not a hard court player.
