Ural - SKA Khabarovsk

If you look at the league table then not much separates these two sides with Ural in 11th place, four places ahead of Khabarovsk and three points ahead. Ural have put in some good performances so far this season and I really like their attack but they have had too many draws. Afte eight games they have had six draws and just one win. In fact, all four of their home matches have been draws with three 1-1 draws and one 0-0 draw much happened in their last home match against CSKA Moscow.

Khabarovsk are newly promoted and in truth their players are not really Premier League quality but they are making a good account of themselves so far. Yes, they only have six points but they face bigger difficulties than the other teams in the league. They are loctated in the Far East of the country so they have to travel thousands of miles on a regular basis. With that in mind, Khabarovsk were scheduled with three away games in a row after their opening game at home to reduce some of the travel burden. They lost all four of their opening matches but its understandable gievn their talent, the travelling they've had to do and the fact that three of those games were against Zenit, CSKA and Lokomotiv. They offer little going forward with just three goals all season and none of those have come in away matches.

They will set up as they have done all season and that is to get men behind the ball and stop their opponents scoring. They are likely to play a 5-4-1 formation where the ensure that there are plenty of bodies back at all times. It will be difficult for Ural's attacking players to find space in a well organised Khabarovsk defence. They held Spartak Moscow at home to a 0-0 draw in their last match and the game before that endd 0-0 away at Tosno.

It could be a frustrating game for Ural who haven't quite hit the kind of form they are capable of just yet. Khabarovsk have put up grat efforts in some of their games. It wasn't until the secod half when Zenit broke them down and Lokomotiv couldn't do it until the 75th minute and it took a 90th minute Rubin Kazan goal to deny them a victory.

Khabarovsk will make life difficult for Ural, so I don't see a vey open game here. Ural will probably have most of the ball as Khabarovsk look to defend deep. Even if Ural do get a goal Khabarovsk's lack of quality will mean that they are not a major threat going forward and they will in all likelihood continue to play the same way, so I can't see there being many goals in this match.
