I was quite impressed with Velez last week. They went behind early against Belgrano, a side, who don't concede at home but a nice goal by Zarate drew them level and then after going behind again they fought hard right to the end, earning a draw in injury time.
Zarate, in particular, looked good, so if he can continue to produce then they will have the goalscorer that they crave.
River Pate also but in a decent performance last week. This isn't a vintage River team but after going 2-0 at home against Godoy Cruz last week you'd be forgiven for fearing the worst for them but they showed a lot of spirit and looked good going forward and eventually managed to get a point in a 2-2 draw.
I don't think either team is looking great defensively at the moment. River have just one clean sheet in their last six league matches and its eight games since they kept one away from home. Velez have conceded two goals in their last three matches.
When you couple this with two teams that looked good going forward last week then I can see there being goals in this match.
