Arsenal Tula - Dynamo Moscow

I have to say that I was impressed with both of these teams last week as Arsenal Tula drew 2-2 away at Rostov and Dynamo drew 0-0 at home against Zenit. To scor 2 goals at Rostov shows that Arsenal have something about them as you won't see many teams do that but they will have been slightly disappointed to draw thanks to a late Rostov penalty but it was still a good performance that they should take a lot of confidence from.

Arsenal are actually in a good run of form, losing just one of their last four matches but that was a surprise defeat at home to Amkar. Nevertheless, of the teams in bottom half I worry less about them score goals than some of the other teams. I think Arsenal have a decent attack, although they may be without Tkachev who has two goals this season. Djordjevic, however, became their top goalcorer last week after scoring two goals to put him on three for the season so he should also be full of confidence.

The big worry with Arsenal is their home record. They've suffered two poor defeats at home to Tosno and Amkar and their ony win has come against SKA Khabarovsk, while they've also drawn 2-2 against Ural.

Dynamo put in a really good defensive display to stop Zenit last week. Other than a golden chance for Zenit in the final ten minutes they did a good job of limiting Zenit to long distance shots. In some ways, however, I think its easier to put in those performances against the big teams because you know you have to.

Dynamo's away form has been poor with three losses in four matches, although they have travelled to Grozny and Rostov which are never easy places to go to. Their only away win agaisnt Anzhi. Perhaps the alarming thing is that they haven't scored in three of their four away games, nor have they in their last two matches as they didn't really offer much against Zenit other than a long range shot that hit the bar.

The bookmakers don't seem to be able to separate the teams I don't think I could have but what has tipped me one way is that Dynamo will be without their extremely influential centre midfielder/defensive midfielder, Samba Sow, because of suspension. He has easily been one of their best players this season and put in a great performance last week. There may be one or two lapses defensively without him in front of the defence and that is enough for me to think Arsenal will just edge this one.
