Edmonton has had a rocky start of the season and is just 3-6 at home and they will host Vegas tonight in their Rogers Place. Vegas, on the other hard, has been league's most surprising team, considering they were built on castoffs from the 30 other teams.
But, the Oilers are stabilized now. They are coming off 2-1-1 road trip and are determined to play good game at home. Even coach McLellan said they have real test ahead of them in this game and they will be 100% ready to play disciplined game. Their special teams were terrible at home this season, since their opponents have converted 12 of 26 power plays in Rogers Place this season, a stunning success rate of 46 percent. Now, their defensive play has improved much and I don't think we'll see that many mistakes.
Vegas is clearly weaker tea than the Oilers, but is playing over all expectations. Tonight, they will be without goalies Marc-Andre Fleury (concussion) and Oscar Dansk and defenseman Luca Sbisa. I expect Edmonton to take care of them tonight. Good luck!
