We all know Cecchinato has come a very long way in terms of achievements this year.The guy was a typical challenger player just the other day,but today he boasts of being in top 20.Many can say he is just a clay court player but for me he has really improved on hard surface despite the recent poor results.He has lost 3 matches in a row after that win against Chung.On his day,Marco can play anyone.He really gave Djokovic a hard time in the 1st set recently.He has the quality to beat Sousa,it's upto him.He has good serves,good forehand and a lethal backhand.
Joao Sousa on the other hand is the better player on this surface as far as statistics is concerned.He qualified as a qualifier having beaten Sandgren and Barere,both in 3 sets.The problem with Sousa is that he is always hot and cold.You never have to rely on him frequently.However,he is a big server and that's where he will get many free points.
I consider this match even,thus not in agreement with the odds.I choose to take a safer path in the possible event of Sousa emerging victorious.
