This is fairly easy pick to make for me. Moscow is tournament very well known for lots of upsets and strange results ... maybe mafia, maybe because of time zone, who knows ...
First match of main draw is Joao Sousa vs Daniel Gimeno Traver ... Sousa of course is better tennis player ... plays so better on hard and has good results in autumn.
Gimeno-Traver plays more on clay, not so much on hard. Last months more challengers, not great form. But Gimeno-Traver is player that makes many strange results and can lose to anybody but beat players much better then Sousa on any surface if he plays well.
What better proof of that is that Gimeno won both the meetings played with Sousa.
I think Sousa is not a sure bet and anything can happen. He lost to Krajicek in recent match, can lose to Gimeno ... comes from Asia to Moscow, not easy.
Throwing some small money hoping for the upset ... that is for sure possible.
