First thing it has to be said I think is that Muguruza beat Kerber 3 weeks ago 2:0 in Wuhan. It is important I think, because I expect the same level from the players today ... no motives to expect something else. I looked at the match and even if score was a bit tight, I knew Muguruza will win even from the start. It was so clear her superiority in my opinion. Kerber had many problems to deal with her power.
Muguruza is playing in stellar form, powering over everybody. She reached final in her earlier 2 competitions, retired in Wuhan with Venus Williams and then won competition in Beijing with 2:0 win at Bacsinszky.
In the two weeks when Muguruza was beating everybody, Kerber was losing to Muguruza in Wuhan and losing a final to Jelena Jankovic in HK.
Kerber has claims at this match, sure, because she is not playing weak tennis. But not as good as Muguruza.
I consider that Muguruza has much more about her game than Kerber. Kerber will be the defensive player, but Muguruza is hitting winner after winner in the last month so I see no motive why she will not do the same with Kerber. Again!
