The odds are a little strange on this Serie A match. I know Inter made a good game with Juventus, played good football, but Inter’s players have quality and it was easy for them to raise their level out of pure ambition. However today they have Genoa, a “regular” team so i don’t expect the ambition levels of Inter’s players to be sky high.
Inter signed Shaqiri and Podolski. However Kovacic (one of their best players so far) got a red card and will miss this game. Also Guarin will start on the bench. For me Guarin, Kovacic are top players and players that greatly raise Inter’s level. Other players that i think are very good for Inter will miss such as Osvaldo, D’Ambrosio or Nagatomo. These are better than their replacements. But enough about Inter, let’s talk about Genoa.

Genoa is coached by Gasperini, a very interesting coach that has used the most systems(ex:4-3-3, 4-4-2) from all the teams in Italy so far. He is not afraid to tinker and modify his team depending on the situation. He is the exact opposite of Mancini. Mancini is not a good coach at all, while Gasperini is pretty close to being a brilliant coach. Underestimated by a lot of people, always having poor, limited players at his disposal he always managed to get better results than people expected. This season Genoa are in #5 place fighting for Champions League, who would have expected this before the season start. He made stars out of Perotti, Iago Falque and reignited Alessandro Matri.
For this match however they will miss Perotti but they might hand a start to Tino Costa (ex-Valencia player, very good midfielder, tactically disciplined). Perotti’s absence is big but this is a match in which Genoa is expected to play defensive football after all, so they should handle it. My prediction is going to be Genoa +1 asian handicap at odds of 1.82 by Pinnacle.
