We have Wednesday night football in Premier League this week and one of the more interesting matches must surely be Queens Park Rangers taking on Arsenal at Loftus Road.
QPR`s campaign in 2015 has been nothing short of disastrous as the hosts won just 4 points so far this year and lost 6 of the last 7 matches in all competitions! I never rated Redknapp highly as a manager and as a result I always expected QPR to relegate, but at least I was considering them a good home team – which they were in the first part of the season, but clearly not now. Redknapp`s resignation and Ramsey`s appointment one month ago did not change anything. Still, the hosts are still not in the relegation zone, even though they are tied with Burnley and Villa for the 17-19 places. But this is only due to the good results in 2014 and the absolute futility of the bottom three clubs. At the current rate, QPR seems a lock to play Championship football next season.
Arsenal won 9 of the last 11 matches in all competition so on paper they are in massive form, but statistics are not telling the real truth here. Arsenal lost the two most important matches in this timespan, against Tottenham and Monaco. Additionally, their last 4 wins were mostly due to sharpness in front of goal and good fighting spirit, because the performance was not extraordinary – even though Arsenal is obviously playing more than decent football in order to get so many wins.

Team news & lineups:
Faurlin, Onuoha, Dunne, Fer, Isla and Barton are out for QPR, while Kranjcar and Sandro are out. Some of QPR`s best players will not be in the lineup today, so a big handicap for the hosts in the team news department. Arsenal continues to miss Debuchy, Ramsey, Wilshere, Arteta, Diaby and Flamini. Coquelin is slightly doubtful but he should play.
QPR: Green – Yun, Ferdinand, Caulker, Furlong – Phillips, Henry, Kranjcar, Traore – Austin, Zamora
Arsenal: Ospina – Bellerin, Paulista, Koscielny, Gibbs – Coquelin – Walcott, Cazorla, Welbeck, Alexis – Giroud
Normally I would stay a way from this game or even bet on Arsenal’s opponent because the Gunners seem a little bit overrated right now. But QPR is just too poor, they are absolute garbage and things do not look like they will improve soon, especially not with all those missing players. They are not scaring anyone at home anymore, while Arsenal is excellent on the road lately. Look for QPR to let some goals in with their horrible defense against such an able and effective offense like Arsenal’s, while at the other goal Arsenal has been defending really well in 2015.
All in all my tip here is Arsenal to win. I will stay on the safe side and avoid handicaps because it might well be a 1 goal win, but I can`t see QPR getting anything. The bet is more against the hosts than on Arsenal, but I am also trusting the ability of the Gunners to take care of second rate opposition – they don`t lose points often in these matches, especially when the adversary is not in good form. Prediction: QPR – Arsenal 0-2.
