Tottenham looks to get back to winning ways as they host the last placed team in the Premier League, Leicester City.
The Spurs were playing pretty good until the really bad 0-3 defeat at the hands of Manchester United last round. Still, that was a little harsh and it can`t take away the fact that Tottenham is overall in good shape right now – they have been remarkably consistent against the weaker sides lately, something that was always a problem for them in the previous years. Six points behind the fourth place, Tottenham will not have any other choice aside from a win today if they want Champions League football next season.
I have to say I am shocked by Leicester’s performance in the Premier League. At the start of the season I expected them to do very well and after the excellent results in the first few rounds, I could see Leicester finishing in the top half of the Premier League. Instead, they are on the last place right now, 7 points away from safety and in a form that doesn`t give them much (if any) hope. The visitors have 5 losses and 2 draws in the last 7 games, but the last win came here at White Hart Lane, 2-1 in the FA Cup, so that`s something to take into account.

Mason and Soldado are doubtful for Spurs, but otherwise Tottenham has a healthy squad. Leicester will have to do without Dean Hammond, while Schmeichel is fit again but will probably be left on the bench.

The earlier loss against Leicester will only make Tottenham more focused in this one and they have the firepower to cover a 1 goal handicap. The Foxes are way below Premier League standards at the moment in terms of the level of football and I really can’t see them robbing Tottenham of their Top 4 hope, as low as that may be.
