Espanyol has nothing left to fight for this season but even so, their recent performances are inexcusable … very poor football, especially on the attacking end of the pitch and especially in the 1-1 home draw with Elche last round. It was the first goal Espanyol scored since February (!!!) and overall the visitors did not win any of the last 5 matches.
