Game 2 of the NBA Finals. Golden State leads the series 1-0 after gaining an overtime victory in the first match. It was a close game and Cleveland even had the last shot in regulation, but the Warriors stepped it up to win the overtime period 10-2.
Golden State is truly the best team in the NBA right now and they lost just three games on home court all season. They will have a huge chance to make it 2-0 today and going to Cleveland for Game 3 with a great (decisive?) advantage. The Warriors didn`t play their best match in Game 1, they can play better and they can shoot better, but it will give them great confidence that even in these conditions they still escaped with the win.
Cleveland has lost Kyrie Irving for the rest of the season after his injury recidivated in the overtime of Game 1. This will be a huge blow for the Cavs, as they really needed Kyrie, their second best player. Now Cleveland is really shorthanded (Love out as well) and with the supporting cast being ineffective in Game 1, this will be a huge problem. JR Smith and Shumpert didn`t get open looks from three anymore, which was expected against the best defensive team in the league. Even with Lebron playing fantastic and Kyrie having a big impact, Cleveland wasn`t able to close out the game, so that really says it all.

The overall feeling is that Cleveland missed its chance in Game 1. Lebron played fantastic, Kyrie played very well, Golden State didn`t play its best game, but Cavs still missed the victory. If they won in regular time, they would be up 1-0 and Kyrie would still be healthy. Now, the situation is almost impossible for them.
I really can`t see Cavs even being competitive here. Golden State should play better than in Game 1, while Cleveland will be low on morale, will miss Irving and will have a shorthanded roster against the deepest team in the league. Look for Cleveland to keep it relatively close when Lebron is on the floor (if he repeats the performance from Game 1), but they will be blown out of the building when the bench players come in.
Cleveland has just one chance today (and in the whole series for that matter) – for Golden State to play poorle and for Lebron’s supporting cast to start raining threes like in the Atlanta series. However, I can`t see that happening, as Golden State is the best defensive team in the league and will not concede open looks. I can see Golden State covering the spread and winning this by 10+. The spread at -8 looks fair, but for extra safety I will by a point.
All this being said, my tip here is Golden State to win and cover the -7 points spread. Prediction: Golden State Warriors – Cleveland Cavaliers 105-90.
