Muller struggled in the first round against out of form Youzhny, but that`s what can happen when you`re a big server, relying mostly on tiebreaks. Youzhny snatched the first set 7-6, but even so Muller did well to come back and win the next two 6-4 7-6. Gilles is in solid form right now and he`s a real danger on grass, a surface that suits his game perfectly, as he has a big serve, great volleys and he moves pretty well for a big man. He reached the semifinals at Hertogenbosch last week, losing to David Goffin.
Dimitrov routed Querrey in three sets a couple of days ago – not the most impressive performance from the Bulgarian, but it was good for him to get a win considering the fact that his form is rather bad considering the expectations – and it has been so for the whole season, with a few good tournaments here and there. Queens is Dimitrov’s first competition on grass courts in 2015.

Dimitrov leads the Head 2 Head 2-1 (1-0 on grass), but he never beat Muller with more than 3 games difference. Additionally, Gilles Muller won the last meeting between the two, a 6-2 7-6 victory in Rotterdam this year. Regarding the surface, both guys are able on grass, but Muller can be called a grass court expert, while Dimitrov is just an all rounder.
There`s no question that Dimitrov is the better and more talented player, but his form lately hasn`t been the best, with a first round exit at Roland Garros and struggling with Querrey in the first round here. Muller also struggled with Youzhny, but he`s not the one with odds as low as 1.30 in this match. Gilles has not been broken in 3 of the last 5 matches, including against Youzhny, so there`s a good chance he could hold serve for the entire match, or concede no more than 1 break. He`ll stay in the match and with Dimitrov in shaky form, the Luxembourgese player can take advantage and snatch 2 tiebreaks, or even get a break or two when Grigor gets tight under pressure.
Muller has every chance to produce an upset here, so I`ll be tipping him to win at some excellent odds. For better safety, a game handicap looks good as well, but I choose to bet on the best value. Prediction: Gilles Muller – Grigor Dimitrov 7-6 7-6.
