Manchester City and Arsenal will square off in one of the most important matches of the last two rounds in the Premier League, as Champions League football is at stake. Arsenal is sitting on the third place, 3 points ahead of City and 4 points ahead of Man United.
Man City was knocked out from the Champions League after a 1-0 defeat against Real Madrid midweek, yet another unimpressive performance from the Citizens. The hosts have won just a single match from their last five and that was against a dirt poor, out of form Stoke team. City needs to bounce back quickly though, as they have just 1 point in front of rivals United in the fight for the last Champions League position.
Arsenal will very likely finish Top 4, but a defeat today would put that position in real danger ahead of the last round. What`s more, Wenger’s real objective is to finish 3rd and qualify directly for the Champions League, or maybe even attack Tottenham’s second position. Bottom line, the Gunners badly need at least a draw today and recent results will give them belief of achieving that. Arsenal has 4 wins and 3 draws in the last 7 matches, even if the level of football was not great – and it was actually really poor in their last match, 1-0 against Norwich.

Team news & lineups:
Man City has a few notable absences: Silva, Kompany, Kolarov and Zabaleta are out. The first two are absolute key guys, while Kolarov and Zabaleta could have provided cover for Clichy and Sagna, who will probably be exhausted after having to deal with Bale and Ronaldo a few days ago. Also, Yaya Toure looked very tired at Bernabeu, but Pellegrini might be left with no choice but to start him again today. As for Arsenal, they are healthier than ever, with just Ox-Chamberlain and Mertesacker out of the lineup. Cazorla is back and could be on the bench.
Manchester City: Hart – Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Clichy – Fernando, Fernandinho – Sterling, Toure, De Bruyne – Aguero
Arsenal: Cech – Bellerin, Gabriel, Koscielny, Monreal – Coquelin, Elneny – Iwobi, Ozil, Alexis – Welbeck
Arsenal looks good value to snatch at least a point here. Even if they haven’t been impressive lately, the Gunners are still undefeated in 7 matches and have kept 3 clean sheets in a row.
Manchester City will likely be tired both physically and mentally after playing at Bernabeu midweek. They have not played well lately, in fact haven’t been great at any time this season. They miss a few key players and have been dreadful against top sides this season, so not much seems to be going their way.
Arsenal is the team to beat here, but backing them to win might be a stretch. They are not performing great either, have trouble scoring goals and Man City at least has home court advantage. As such, I believe a draw is the most likely scenario, with Arsenal to win being the second most likely scenario.
My tip is a draw on the Arsenal win no bet market, protecting my investment in case the visitors pull off the victory. Prediction: Manchester City – Arsenal 1-1.
