Getafe will hope to increase their 1 point advantage over the relegation zone and end a horrible run of form when they take on a resilient Granada side at Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
The home side made a managerial change a couple of days ago after a horrendous streak of 13 matches without a win in all competition, 9 of which were losses. Getafe made a surprising but I`d say clever move to hire their ex player Cosmin Contra as manager, a very talented young coach who was guiding Petrolul Ploiesti to a top 3 finish in Romania prior to the offer from the spanish club. Contra has the ability to save Getafe from relegation but it remains to be seen if he can change the side`s fortune right away. At the moment Getafe has absolutely no gameplan on the offensive end of the court (1 goal in the last 7 rounds !!!) but they are not doing so good defensively either. The hosts dropped to the 16th place after their bad run and are just 1 point ofer the relegation zone.
Granada (12th place) had a solid season so far judging by their standards, but the visitors still have some worries regarding the drop. They are just 4 points ahead of the 18th place, however they do have a lot of teams behind them, but still points are a necessity. The team is the same as in last seasons – excellent defense, good tactics and discipline, poor offensive play. Granada played pretty good on the road this season (4 wins, 2 draws, 7 defeats) and is on the back of an impressive 2-0 home win against a strong Villareal side.

Team news and lineups
There`s not a whole lot of injuries or suspensions for either side in this one. Worth mentioning are goalkeeper Moya for Getafe and Recio + Bahrimi for Granada.
Getafe: Codina – Valera, Rafa, L.Lopez, Roberto Lago – Borja, Lacen – Pedro Leon, Sarabia, Diego Castro – Marica
Granada: Roberto – Nyom, Coeff, Murillo, Angulo – F.Rico, Fatau, Iturra – Piti, Riki, El-Arabi
The appointment of Contra will probably help Getafe, as he is a guy who can put his mark on a team`s play pretty quickly. However, you have to feel the odds on the hosts are way too low. Getafe is simply horrible, the players have no confidence (as stated by striker Marica) and no manager can change a side so much in just a couple of days. Even more importantly, Granada is a really bad opponent for the hosts right now. The visitors are tactically sound, disciplined, organized, have good morale after the big win last round and they have a rock solid defense – exactly the qualities which work well against an out of form team with a horrible offensive game, which is Getafe. The visitors played good on the road this season so I expect them to gain at least a point here. The draw looks like the most probable result, but I won`t rule out an away win with one or two goals on counterattacks.
The under 2,5 goals looks to be a good bet as well, but the best odds are surely on the visitors here. My tip is Granada +0,5 handicap (x2 double chance). Prediction: Getafe – Granada 1-1. I`m really confident in this pick so my recommendation would be a high stakes investment.
