Big final in Wimbledon between Garbine Muguruza and Venus Williams where I see great value on the american to win. Both players are playing just amazing but I see Venus favourite to win this match.
Garbine Muguruza is coming to this match after losing only a set in the tournament. She was able to win in straight sets against Alexandrova, Wickmayer, Cirstea, Kuznetsova and Rybarikova dropping only a set against the former number one in the world, Angelique Kerber. We have to admit that she played really well but let's have a look on her opponents. Her only decent opponents were Kerber (that maybe is in the worst period of her carrer after last year) and Kuznetsova (on grass she is nothing special). Her performance in the last match against Rybarikova was impressive as she won 6-1/6-1 but Rybarikova was very tired and Garbine was just in her perfect day. She will not play at that level in the final and, even if she will do that, Venus should be able to win.
Venus Williams is coming to the final dropping only a set too. She won in straight sets against Mertens, Osaka, Konjuh, Ostapenko and Konta losing only a set in the 2nd round against Wang. A lot of people expected Venus to lost in the last match against Konta but she showed that, at the age of 37, she is able to play fabolous level of tennis deserving to be in the final. Maybe this will be the last chance for Venus to win a Grandslam title and I can't see her failing this one. She is playing just too good and she is better player than Muguruza. Also, playing on grass will be an huge advantage for Venus especially for her big serve.
