Another match in UEFA Champions League between Vikingur and Hafnarfjordur where I will bet on the away team to win. First leg ended 1-1 with Hafnarfjordur playing at home. They were clearly the better side but they were very unlucky as Vikingur scored thanks to a penalty. Vikungur had 37% of ball possession and 2 shots on target (one of them is from the penalty spot). It's clear that they were happy with the draw but they need a miracle to survive tomorrow.
Hafnarfjordur is still favourite to advance here imo. They are clearly the better team and there's big difference between the football played by Vikingur in the Faroese League and Hafnarfjordur.
Hafnarfjordur is a team coming from Iceland. They are 4th in the league right now as they had not a great start but I'm expecting them to not fail this very important game.
We have to admit that Vikingur were just amazing in the first round of qualification against Trepca 89 but they were lucky even in those games. They won first leg 2-1 at home with the away team dominating the game and they won 1-4 the 2nd leg on the road (they have played almost the whole game 11 vs 10 and they closed the thanks to an own goal for 0-2 lead).
I think that Vikingur's luck will end tomorrow. Hafnarfjordur is the better team and they will show that despite playing away from home.
