Exeter got a credible well earned draw away at Accrington to keep up with the top three spots but they are now four points off to 3rd position occupied by Wycombe Wanderers with four games remaining. Exeter lost in the playoffs last season and they will want to avoid the same scenario this time and as such I am certain will be going for an all out assault on getting into the top three spots as Wycombe face a tough away game at Lincoln and could drop points tonight which will move Exeter closer to them on the log. They have no missing players and should field a full strength side.
Chesterfield sit bottom of the league and seven points off safety but they do have two games in hand over 22nd placed Grimsby. Three defeats in their last four games has not helped matters and it is a close possibility they would suffer a fifth tonight. They could miss up to five players for this trip.
Chesterfield have enjoyed a better h2h record than Exeter and even got a 1-0 win in the first leg. I do not think Exeter will slip up this chance to close the gap on 3rd spot and I think they will win this one. It might be more difficult than I expect but they should secure all three points.
