You have to praise Atletico Madrid for their performance this season even if you are not a fan! Simeone managed to create a team that can fight with both Barcelona and Real Madrid for the title and now with only a few games left to play they have a 1 point advantage from the 2nd placed Barcelona and 3 from 3rd placed Real Madrid.
This game might be one of the most important and difficult, in the same time, left for Atletico Madrid this season. A lot of teams struggled on San Mames... Real dropped two points there.
I reckon it is quite hard to bet against Bilbao when playing at home, looking at their record (11-3-1) with only 14 goals received but they showed their flaws when they lost to Espanyol recently and I'm sure if there is any other team that can beat them this season - that is Atl. Madrid.
Athletic Bilbao will miss Gurpegi, Ibai Gmez, Kike Sola, Ander Herrera , Iigo Prez, Ekiza, while Atltico Madrid will only miss Manquillo (3/0 d).
There is pressure on both sides here, with Bilbao fighting for a CL spot and Atl. Madrid for the title. Although Bilbao has the home advantage I believe Atletico will be the team to push for the win and try to control the game.
