The first game of this season of Liga 1 will face the new Timisoara team and Dinamo.
There are three years since Timisoara expected some Liga 1 games, but things are not quite how fans had in mind. This Timisoara team is actually ACS Recas, a close village who took Timisoara's name and who will play on Poli's Stadium. There are no more money like the old Poli had, and this team's target is to maintain in Liga 1.
Dinamo sticked to their plan: they avoided EL last season although they were strong enough to get there, but now, they will focus only on the championship. I can't see them able to fight for the title, but they can certainly grab some Europa League spot.
Timisoara: Nuno Claro - Nohai, Scutaru, Seroni, Marovic - Marbut, Poparadu, Trandu, Nicola - Boldea, Szekely.
Reserves: Coca, Moldovan, Keita, Bocsan, Ov.Petre, Nanu, Popovici.
I haven't seen yet Timisoara playing in this new formula, but there are only four players with big experience: Nuno Claro(CFR), Nohai(Ceahlaul, Medias), Szekely(U Cluj, Galati, Steaua), Ovidiu Petre(Steaua, Galatasaray). The others are some ex-Timisoara players, people born in Timisoara or which started football there.
The manager Valentin Velcea never impressed me, although he had four chances at Timisoara along time.
Dinamo lost young talent Marius Alexe, but the team still looks well: Naumovski - Rus, Luchin, Asanovic, S.Filip - Boubacar - Lazar, Matei, Thomas, Curtean - Danciulescu.
Reserves: Manyur, Grigore, Stratila, Vastag, Elton, Rotariu, Abdoullaye;
Durimel and Catalin Munteanu are still injured.
Almost same team as last season, Rus, Luchin, Boubacar, Matei, Curtean and Danciulescu were most of the time first team players. Naumovski also played in many games, so he can also be considered a first team player, despite Dinamo will miss gk Balgradean, left outside the squad for this game because the manager considers him to be sad because of missing the transfer at Standard Liege.
