U Cluj fired Ciupe, Turcu, Ad.Popa II, Ninu, Sandulescu, Muresan, Odiaka, Van Dotten. After that event, their squad had only 14 players. They brought juniors Ursu and Calcan to play with 1st team, plus new-signed gk Veselovsky, mid.Rilke and striker Lemnaru, their ex-player, who was in Pandurii's squad.

Their squad was awful this season, after the last events, it looks even worse, and nobody wonders they lost 0-6 against Dinamo and they are last in table. I don't see how things will change in the near future.

CFR Cluj had some awful start, related to their aspirations. True, they sold in the summer break some of the best players, but bought some good ones in their place, so they quite enforced for winning the title.
Their game suffered and the manager was fired because of some scandal with the portuguese group from the team. Now, they hired Petre Grigoras, one of the most well reputated managers in our league. He did some changes in the team, and CFR won the first game with Grigoras in charge after some hard fight.
I firmly believe Grigoras managed to adapt the players to his style of play in this break, so we will see a stronger CFR from now on.

The huge rivalry between the clubs remains only in the supporter's level: U Cluj still hasn't changed his board. And the results of the team in front of CFR under this ownership look like this: 4 games lost out of 4 games played. Two of them were ht/ft: U Cluj had the lead at ht, then CFR finally won the game.
I don't want to say they might do something here. But one thing I know for sure: CFR wants to go up and fight for the title, so any lost point against the weakest team, a friendly-team actually, will be a disaster.
