Sam Querrey - Gilles Simon 🎾

The most balanced match of the Nottingham QFs (as suggested by the odds) is Querrey - Simon, but I don't think it will be so balanced at all. Simon was one of the best players in this preparation tournaments prior to Wimbledon and Querrey did absolutely nothing in the last few months.

Querrey defeated Giraldo and Cuevas, two clay courters, played pretty good on serve but "pretty good" is not saying much. He now has to prove it in the company of an opponent from a different league.

Sam Querrey said after the match with Cuevas that he is satisfied with his performance this week, not the best mentality imho, but he probably knows that he is not at his best and anything from here will be a bonus.

Simon is in excellent form, played a excellent tourney in Queens, beat Raonic, took set from Anderson. He played well again this week, after having some complications in his first match with Granollers where he did not play so strong.

I don't know what bookies are thinking giving these odds to Simon, he also has a H2H advantage over Querrey.

It will be a two set win for Simon imho. I say he will tear Querrey's game appart with a good strategy from the back of the court.
