Timea Bacsinszky and Monica Niculescu was not the 4th round many were expecting to happen at Wimbledon but the Romanian made a nice surprise and it is the first time he reaches this stage. She is not a player to like grass, it is her worst surface and if you watch her game you understand why.
But strangely she is doing well this season (reached a final on grass).
Niculescu performed pretty good but she didn't have to play any scary player and actually escaped with a lot of luck against Kr Pliskova in the prev. round, because Pliskova had 5 sets points at one point. In the first round with Puig she also escaped a scare after losing the first set.
I think Timea will not have any problems here, she loves grass and is playing some of her best tennis this week .. tennis that brought her into Top 15.
Bacsinszky beat Lisicki 6-3 6-2 in the prev round, won all her matches in 2 sets and in all likelyhood will do the same today against Niculescu who for sure reached her maximum level.
PS: Niculescu won 4 of the 5 matches the two played, but all before 2011.
