Olympiakos tries to get at least a point from their home match with Atletico Madrid but it will be very hard even in Greece to stop a side that just won against Real at Bernabeu.
Olympiakos played 3 official games this season so far and won 2 of them (1 draw). Last season was great for the Greeks, reaching the Champions League spring and almost getting past Manchester United. Their home stadium is a fortress and they will rely on home matches to earn their points. In my opinion Olympiakos is not quite as strong as last season, lost Campbell and Manolas (and Mitroglou probably won’t start here) so they need a collective effort to repeat last year’s performance.

Atletico Madrid won just 1 time from 6 trips to Greece but were probably never stronger than now. Atletico started the season very well, they won the Supercup against Real 2-1 aggregate and just won 2-1 at Bernabeu on Saturday in the league (deserved and correct score) so they have great morale for this one. Diego Simeone thinks to give one of Arda and Griezmann a pass here and not play them both, but the Argentinean manager takes this game very seriously and expects a win.

Olympiakos will fight their hearts out and will be helped but the crazy public in Greece. Atletico is for sure a much better team but it won’t be easy away from home after exhausting game vs. Real. We know Simeone has a more defensive and organized style and Atletico will not push too much from the start, so I think it is fair to bet that the first half will be more tight and physicall, neither team risking, so my tips will be a draw at half time with very nice odds.
