AC Milan – Palermo

Desperate AC Milan will host underdogs US Palermo in the Italian Serie A at San Siro Stadium.

Milan is not playing well, that’s for sure, but I expect things to change. The main problem in my opinion is this: Mihajlovic is a good, strict coach, but the players Milan has are “stars”, hard to coach. And the players he has in defense are just not good enough. So he has to get the “stars” to start working and the defense to at least stay focused for the entire 90 minutes. The hosts just lost 1-0 against Inter in the big rivalry clash, so they will be extra motivated to produce a good result today and please the restless fans.

Quality is incredible in this Milan side. Menez, Honda, Cerci, Balo, Luiz Adriano, Bacca, Bertollaci (the guy with the best assist rate in Italian Serie A last season) … so they will surely click eventually. But to win the title in Serie A, or at least to fight for it you must first of all win the easy games, particularly the ones on home court.

Palermo is having problems right now. First of all they made a shitload of money by selling Dybala, but they did not buy any good replacements. They also sold Barretto, one of the players that added stability to this team, and they will suffer this term in my opinion. The coach also wanted to leave, criticizing the poor (non-existent) transfer policy, but eventually he ended up staying.
