Arsenal will look to end their 9 year trophy draught when they take on Hull City in the FA Cup final at Wembley. Hull however will hope to record a massive upset and will surely fight their hearts out.

It has been a season with a lot of ups and downs for Arsenal, the Gunners looked more than capable of winning the league until January but then a bad run of form ended their hopes. However, Arsenal reached the FA Cup final and recovered to play some excellent football in the last month, winning their last 5 games, including a 3-0 away win over Hull a couple of weeks ago. The return to form wasn`t really surprising, as the Gunners got some key players back from injury (Ramsey, Ozil). Health has been a real issue for Arsene Wenger’s side this season.

Hull had a very easy road to the FA Cup final, meeting a single Premier League side, and that was Sunderland. The Tigers will surely give it their all today but their form is worrying to say the least: Hull has 1 draw and 4 losses in the last 5 games, including 3 consecutive defeats in which they allowed no less than 8 goals.

Arsenal looks healthier than ever prior to this game, surely a delight for Arsene Wenger. Walcott is the only big absentee, while Vermaelen is highly questionable. Hull City won`t be able to count on Brady, Jelavic and Long, while Chester is a doubt.

While Arsenal looks like a banker to win this, keep in mind that cup final are always tricky and Hull City are sure to give it everything they have on the pitch. I still remember Arsenal losing the League Cup final to Birmingham in 2011 in somewhat similar circumstances. Having said that, I still expect the Gunners to record a solid win here and end their trophy draught. The key here is Arsenal’s health – the Gunners have been brilliant this season when having all their key pieces available, and the current run of form proves it. I expect Wenger’s side to come out guns blazing looking for the first piece of silverware in 9 years, they should feel at home with a Wembley packed with Arsenal fans – and Arsenal has been excellent at home this season, while Hull does not play well on the road. City is playing rubbish football lately, they have been dismantled by Arsenal at home just a couple of weeks ago and I expect a similar outcome this time around. Also I can`t see Hull scoring with their form and defensive lineup. My tip is Arsenal to win and cover the 1,5 goal handicap. Prediction: Arsenal – Hull City 3-0.
