Arsenal takes on West Ham in a London derby, with the two teams being in totally opposite form right now.

Arsenal continued its excellent run of results with a 2-1 win at Old Trafford in the FA Cup, making it 11 victories over the last 13 games. I keep saying that the Gunners are winning without playing at their best and the match with Monaco did show that they still have issues – however, when you win 11 out of 13 you are clearly doing things right. Arsenal is staying safe at the back and is very effective in front of goal, something the fans dreamed of for a long time.

West Ham`s excellent start to the season is long forgotten. They are now on the 10th place with nothing left to fight for and are playing accordingly – losing 3 of the last 4 matches and not winning a game since January. Once injuries started to pile up and opponents figured out their rather one-dimensional game, West Ham lost all form and it`s doubtful they will ever get it back. The last two matches played by the visitors were a 1-3 defeat to Crystal Palace and a 1-3 defeat to Chelsea, both results coming at home.

The Gunners have the game against Monaco next in Champions League on Tuesday, but Wenger will field his best lineup today – after all this match might be more important considering that the chances to advance in UCL are slim. West Ham is not playing anything right now, they can`t score goals, can`t defend and I can`t see them getting anything at the Emirates – they lost to Arsenal at home when they were in much better form and Arsenal was struggling, so this should be a pretty straightforward victory for Arsenal. I doubt they will concede, especially as West Ham has fitness issues up front, so my tip here is Arsenal to win to nil – as they did not cover big handicaps too often lately.

Arsenal kept 3 clean sheets in the last 4 home matches, while West Ham failed to score in 3 of the last 4 away matches. Look for the Gunners to score sooner rather than later and than ride the advantage for a comfortable 1-0 or 2-0 win. Prediction: Arsenal – West Ham United 2-0.
