Ok so MOL Vidi got some impressive results so far in CL ...
1-1 & 2-1 vs Dudelange
0-0 & 1-0 vs Ludogorets
1-1 & 0-0 vs Malmo
For sure the best charactheristic of MOL Vidi is to defend ... they parked the bus vs Ludogorets, they parkets the bus vs Malmo, and they parkets the bus vs AEK in first leg.
But for Vidi unfortunately it didn't work with the bus in 1st leg vs AEK. So now they are in strange situation ... they need to attack. Ok maybe not from the start but they need to score at least 2 goals ... they can't wait too much.
AEK is Greek champions and a level above what Vidi met so far in CL. That's why they won in Hungary (also they had an extra man for about 30 minutes that must be said).
Normally AEK at home is expected to win vs a team like Vidi. But this is more than just AEK being better. It is about Vidi having to change their style.
Vidi is 100% defensive team in Europe but now they can't do that, they need to open up. And probably that will make them uncomfortable and ruin all their style & the formation they are used to. And AEK at home with open spaces can be deadly for Vidi.
If AEK gets a goal to go ahead, for sure they will have a lot of chances to win this game big.
