After that great win yesterday, I'm back with another NBA tip for tonight. The Spurs are hosting the worst team in the NBA right now: Phoenix Suns.
Phoenix Suns (4-23) are coming to this match after losing 9 matches in a row. They are absolutely terrible and they are really bad especially when they play away from home (1-12). Despite being that bad, they are coming to this match after a great performance last night against the Los Angeles Clippers as they lost by 4 only after overtime. They had their chances in that game as they had an 8 points lead in the 4th quarter but the Clippers managed to comeback and to win the game on the road. That big loss is a big handicap for tonight. They are on a back to back matches and yesterday almost everyone played more than 30 minutes...it is hard to absorb when you have back to back matches especially when your match on the road is against San Antonio Spurs.
Also, they are still missing their best player, Booker, that is averaging 23.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game. With him the team is really poor...without him...I let you imagine.
Crawford is on game time decision but still not that important in my opinion.
San Antonio Spurs (13-14), on the other hand, had not a great start as they are coming to this match with a negative record but they are good at home as they won 9 matches out of 13 played defeating even big teams like Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz or Houston Rockets. They are coming to this match in a big form as they won two tough home matches against the Jazz and the Lakers and they are with big confident at the moment.
They are still missing Gasol and Murray while Bertans and Cunningham are in game time decision but these are still not big injures.
The Phoenix Suns are the worst team in the NBA, they have not their best player for this game and they have an 1-12 record on the road. Also, they are on a back to back and they played overtime yesterday against one of the most in-form teams in the league. They played great yesterday and they are going to be very tired with time running down tonight. Their opponents of today are a very strong team at home coming to this match with big confidence and after two big wins.
I can't imagine the Suns playing a good match tonight.
Big home win for the Spurs is my call.
