First meeting between Grigor Dimitrov and Alex De Minaur where I'm expecting a good fight. Over 37,5 games seems to be a pretty good choice for this one.
Grigor Dimitrov looked in a very good shape during his first matches. In the first round, he played against Seppi that is always very dangerous in these conditions and he managed to win in 4 sets. He had a WO in the 2nd round against Coric and he defeated Majchrzak in 3 sets. He was in a very good shape physically, very fast on court and very solid with his serve. He knows he is underdog in this game but he knows that he will have his chances to win against a very young player that is looking to gain some experience on this big scenario.
De Minaur won his first 3 matches quite easily. After defeating Herbert in 4 sets, he managed to win in 3 sets against Garin and, most of all, he defeated Nishikori in 4 sets. I'm not that surprised about him right now. His first two wins were very easy against not that good opponents while Nishikori, his only big opponent, is playing really poor level of tennis these days. De Minaur was pretty solid with his serve but he conceded too many chances to his opponents especially in some moments of the match where he seem to lose focus. He is a very young player and it is not easy to be focused for the whole game for a player like him that has not big experience.
Dimitrov should be able to take advantage of De Minaur's difficult to be focused for the whole game and I see him able to win at least a set. Line is pretty good. Both players have big serve and there are chances for one or even more "long-sets". Don't see any of these two winning in 3 easy sets because both are not that solid for the whole game. Dimitrov's aggressive style should give problems to De Minaur that is still favourite to win this game.
