This is a round of 16 match from the Ponta Delgada ITF(hard) between Solomiya Rohovets from Ukraine and Maria Martinez Martinez from Spain.
Both of these players are very young and even though Maria Martinez Martinez does have more matches under her belt I don't see as being equally talented as Rohovets. Rohovets played a very good first round match here and defeated Okamoto 6-0, 6-4. Sure she faced a very modest player but she was in full control of that match and she showed promise for the matches to come.
Maria Martinez defeated Roemer 6-3, 6-4 and she did have some problems on the return of serve as she was very passive. She does have more matches played than her opponent at the pro level but I don't know if that will be enough today to justify the fact that she is such a big favorite. She will be facing a young player that has a lot of power in her ground strokes and her defensive game might not be enough to get her the win.
I think there is some good promise for a surprise result here and at these odds I am willing to take a risk so hopefully it will pay off.
