This is going to be the first encounter between these two players.
I think one of the main reason why Mattek-Sands is the favorite today is because she has more experience than her opponent and she is a good serve volley player. That being said she hasn't really had any notable results in the past two years and she will be facing a player that is slowly making her way to the top of the rankings and will surely be very eager to play her best tennis today.
Van Uytvanck is a very powerful player with a strong service and very aggressive shots. I think she can easily overpower Mattek-Sands and dictate the majority of points. I guess the main reason why she is the underdog is based on the fact that she hasn't got a lot of grass matches under her belt and she could struggle a bit.
I just think that Mattek-Sands is way to unpredictable to back and I would rather go with the younger player who has been more consistent this year and that is without a doubt Van Uytvanck.
