Team news: Cagliari continues to miss Eriksson, they will also be without Sau and probably Avelar. Chievo on the other hand has no injuries or suspensions and is able to field the best possible lineup today at Stadio Sant’Elia.
Neither of these two sides are making much noise at the moment, but you have to say Chievo has been the more stable team recently – they are actually undefeated in 4 matches and play a more organized type of football, making it pretty hard for opponents to beat them. I expect Cagliari’s struggles to continue until Zdenek Zeman finds a way to eliminate chaos from their game and I really like the odds for Chievo to get something here.The hosts should find it harder to score against such a good defense, so that will make it that much harder to get a win.
I have to say the best value is on the draw, but don’t want to lose the bet if Chievo somehow finds a way to win (clearly I`m fancying Chievo more than Cagliari here) – I am counting on them to hold Cagliari at bay so my tip is Chievo +0,5 handicap. Prediction: Cagliari – Chievo 1-1.
