The fourth round in Liga 1 will see relegation favorites Ceahlaul take on Dinamo, who could climb as high as second in the table with a win.
Ceahlaul was pretty decent last season, especially before losing their manager in the winter, and managed to escape relegation. This season however things took a turn for the worse and Ceahlaul is playing some of the poorest football in Romania right now – they got knocked out of the League cup and lost the first two matches in Liga 1 with a 1-8 goal difference. They did get an important win last round at Pandurii but Pandurii was incredibly poor and we could see their poor form this round also, when they lost 0-6 to Steaua.

Dinamo is a legendary club in Romania but is currently undergoing a rebuilding process due to financial problems. Even so, with a mix of youngsers and some Ok foreign players, Dinamo has affirmed itself as the 4th best team in the country and could even challenge the top 3 especially due to their brilliant attacking setup. The defense however is absolutely horrendous – Dinamo lost 3 key defenders along with the regular goalkeeper this summer, bringing in no replacements, and the results are obvious. Dinamo is scoring at will but the defense puts on a circus performance in any game, a reason for which Dinamo has a goal difference of 11-4 in three league matches + the league cup. Last round was the first time Dinamo went under 3,5 goals this season, a 1-1 draw with Targu Mures, but the result was a fluke – both sides had a lot of chances and Targu Mures even missed a penalty.
Team news & lineups: Ceahlaul will field a similar lineup to the one that played last round, Dinamo has no big injury worries and will do the same. Can`t predict the lineup for Ceahlaul, but Dinamo should look like this:

Dinamo will be a very overish team this season with the kind of individuals they have in defense, at least until the coach manages to implement some kind of tactical discipline at the back, though it will be very hard with these caliber of center backs. I`ll go out on a limb and say that Dinamo has just one center back of Liga 1 level, Durimel, and he`s error prone as well. The full backs are very offensive minded (small, slim and fast) and inexperienced. Ceahlaul does struggle to score and they are out of form but I think against this kind of defense they will bang in one goal, while Dinamo surely should score at least twice considering the talent they have up front and the poor Ceahlaul defense. Dinamo to win would seem like a safe bet but the odds are too low, the over has much more value here. Surely there must be at least 50% chances for the over 2,5 goals to happen so that is my tip. Prediction: Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt – Dinamo Bucharest 1-2.
